Under the supervision of the dentist, the Dental Assistant will be tasked with preparing patients for dental treatment, including welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping them; assisting the dentist during treatment at the chairside by handing instruments and materials and providing suction; sterilizing and disinfecting the clinical instruments; informing patients about the procedures; taking dental photographs, including with intra-oral cameras; assisting patients by removing debris as is normally created in the course of treatment during or after dental procedures by vacuum devices, compressed air, mouthwashes, and water; maintaining accurate patient records; managing incoming and outgoing dental supplies; keeping track of appointment schedules.
